FloorCon 411: Everything You Need to Know

We’ve been talking about FloorCon a lot the last few months, and for good reason. It’s going to be amazing.

But what exactly is FloorCon? Where is it happening? Why is it happening? Here’s the 411 on everything you need to know.

Where is FloorCon taking place?

FloorCon will take place November 17–18 in sunny Sarasota, Florida—specifically, at Sarasota’s gorgeous Hyatt Regency hotel

You can also attend FloorCon’s general session virtually by visiting the Broadlume YouTube channel.

Why is FloorCon happening?

Great question!

We crafted the FloorCon experience around one question: How can we help flooring dealers grow their business? We call it a celebration of the flooring industry. But really, it’s a celebration of you—the independent flooring dealer.

But Why Do You Actually Need to Attend FloorCon?

Ok, ok—so FloorCon is centered on helping you scale your business and maximize your profits as an independent flooring dealer.

Sounds great, right? But what does that actually look like?

We know that every dealer is different; there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to growing your business. That’s why we broke our FloorCon sessions into four different categories:

  • Marketing & Advertising: for dealers who want expert help with their ads and branding.
  • Leadership & Culture: where you’ll learn how to improve your team’s productivity by building a thriving workplace culture.
  • Sales & Operations: for those who could use some help breaking down the numbers side of the business—and want advice from the best in the business.
  • FloorForce Platform & Programs: where we’ll show you how the tools that Broadlume offers will elevate your business and drive sales.

Keep in mind, you don’t need to commit to one track for the entire event—feel free to jump around to the sessions that interest you the most!

We understand that not everyone is able to make the in-person trip to experience FloorCon this year. That’s why we’ve decided to make the FloorCon general session available via virtual live stream!

The A-List: Our All-Star Speaker Lineup

Someone call the 1927 Yankees: FloorCon might just have the heaviest-hitting lineup of all time.

But in all seriousness, we are thrilled to share this all-star guest list of speakers from the flooring industry and beyond.

And one more note: if we went through every single amazing speaker that’s going to take the FloorCon stage, we’d be here all day—so this is just a quick run-through of some of the names you’ll hear from!

When we brag about having top industry experts at our show, we mean it. At FloorCon, you’ll hear from Jason Goldberg, CEO of America’s Floor Source and Founder of RLM. You’ll hear from the human branding machine known as Joe Zago, Owner of The Carpet Guys. And of course, you can also expect to see plenty of Broadlume’s superstar CEO Todd Saunders as he takes the stage throughout the show.

But we’re not just bringing in experts from inside the world of flooring. Microsoft’s Director of Partner Development, Mauricio Orantes, will be on hand to guide us through the consumer journey and digital trends for 2022. Bob Saunders from Westfield CPAs LLC will return to FloorCon to explain how to get the most out of your store’s finances and maximize your bottom line.

And we’re not even close to done yet. Anthony Carrino, star of HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins and VP of Design at Welcome Homes, will explain how he leverages technology to sell high-value products. And finally, NFL and NASCAR Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs will show you how to build a winning workplace culture. As the only man to be inducted into both halls of fame, it’s safe to say he really knows what it takes to be a winner!

Like we said, this is just a small taste of who you’ll find at FloorCon this year. Check out the FloorCon website for a full list of speakers!

What You Can Expect to Learn at FloorCon

With over 30 sessions in total, there’s truly something for everyone at FloorCon.

We’ll dive deep into how to set up your store for success from the inside. You’ll learn how to improve your margins with in-store marketing, build a culture through hiring, and get the most out of your commission structure.

But how your store appears from the outside matters too. In today’s internet-based world, every aspect of your brand is important. We’ll show you how to build a brand, and then leverage that brand to sell your business, not just your products.

Finally, as the flooring industry’s number one technology company, we’ll share everything you need to compete in today’s digital landscape. You’ll get hands-on training on how to use trends, data, and digital tools to boost your bottom line and future-proof your business.

And that isn’t even close to all of what FloorCon has to offer. For a full list of the sessions available at FloorCon, click here.

This Event is Going to Change the Flooring Industry Forever. Here’s Why.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: FloorCon is going to be a celebration of the flooring industry. But while we celebrate the past and present of flooring, we also want to write the next chapter—a chapter centered on new tools and growth, with the independent dealer front and center.

For too long, the flooring industry has been underserved by technology. That’s why, at FloorCon, we’re introducing the industry’s first all-in-one digital platform.

With digital tools that cover every aspect of your business, you’ll have everything you need to reach new customers, boost sales, and propel your business to the next level.

As a FloorCon attendee, you’ll see first-hand how this platform will supercharge your business for the future. We can’t wait to put these tools in your hands and watch how they help grow your business.

PS: We know that’s a little vague. And that’s on purpose. Because there are some huge announcements coming at FloorCon that we can’t spoil just yet!
