The Exciting Announcement You May Have Missed

In true FloorCon style, there was no shortage of major announcements this year—and one of the biggest moments from FloorCon 2021 came from one of these reveals.

Broadlume Acquired RollMaster to Complete the Industry’s First All-in-One Digital Platform

Broadlume officially announced the acquisition of RollMaster, a leading provider of cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to the flooring industry. 

RollMaster’s ERP integrates different systems and processes, as well as providing dealers with accounting, point of sale (POS), and inventory management tools—in addition to offering training, barcoding, and other add-ons.

More importantly, with this acquisition, Broadlume is now able to provide flooring dealers with the industry’s first all-in-one platform of digital tools.

Translation—moving forward, dealers will only need one program to manage their entire business from marketing to accounting and beyond: Broadlume’s integrated all-in-one platform. 

The Star-Studded Speaker Lineup

FloorCon 2021 promised a heavy-hitting guest list, and oh boy did it deliver. With more than 25 different speakers, we’d be here all day if we went through every single one! 

With that in mind, let’s take a quick look at some of FloorCon’s most notable presenters.

Joe Gibbs, Hall of Fame NFL and NASCAR Coach

NASCAR and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs came to FloorCon to teach attendees how to create a winning workplace culture. As the only man to be inducted into both halls of fame, he definitely knows what it takes to build a lasting legacy.

Hearing from a legend like Joe Gibbs was an absolute treat, and we’re thrilled that he spent some time sharing his wisdom with us. 

Todd Saunders, CEO of Broadlume

Broadlume’s superstar CEO Todd Saunders took the stage several times throughout FloorCon—most notably, to announce the acquisition of RollMaster to complete Broadlume’s all-in-one digital platform.

For years, Todd and the Broadlume team have been committed to providing the flooring industry with top-of-the-line digital solutions. With the announcement of this all-in-one platform, that hard work will continue to pay off for dealers across the country!

Jason Goldberg, CEO of America’s Floor Source 

We were delighted to welcome Jason Goldberg of America’s Floor Source to the stage! He’s one of the biggest names in the flooring industry today, and he certainly showed us why at FloorCon 2021.

As a $167 million dollar dealer, Jason pulled back the curtain and gave attendees insider secrets on how to grow their flooring stores. And on Day 2, he and Nick Bock of 31st Street Capital gave flooring dealers the inside scoop on what you should know when it comes to valuing a business.

As always, Jason was a crowd favorite—his presentations were some of the highlights of the show!

Joe Zago, Owner of The Carpet Guys

In this internet-centric world, your brand is front and center. We all know that we need branding, but it’s tough to know where to start!

Luckily, Joe Zago—CEO of The Carpet Guys and all-around branding machine—joined us to show dealers exactly how to grow their brands. As one of the industry’s most electric owners around, he certainly showed attendees what it takes to build a personal presence!

John Weller, CIO of Broadlume

As Broadlume’s Chief Innovation Officer, John Weller has often been called flooring’s digital evangelist. And that’s an accurate description—he’s been guiding flooring dealers to digital solutions for over 20 years.

At FloorCon, he gave attendees an inside look into how the consumer journey has changed, and how they can provide the best consumer experience in today’s digital age. And on Day 2, John moderated our Dealer Confidential panel, where star CEOs Jason Goldberg, Steve Silvers, and Joe Zago shared their recipe for success in the shop-at-home space.

Mauricio Orantes, Microsoft’s Director of Partner Development for the Americas

At FloorCon 2021, we really wanted to reinforce just how much the consumer journey has changed. That’s why we were thrilled to welcome Mauricio Orantes of Microsoft to guide us through it.

Mauricio went deep on how the demand for flooring has increased in the past 2 years, and the importance of nailing your business’s cross-channel advertising to reach new customers. His presentation was a huge hit with attendees, and we’re grateful to have had him at FloorCon!

Pami Bhullar, VP of Business Development at The Dixie Group

As every great RSA knows, floor buyers aren’t just shopping for products—they’re shopping for businesses. Specifically, they buy the stories businesses tell

On Day 2 of FloorCon, Pami Bhullar of The Dixie Group joined us to break down exactly how dealers can use powerful storytelling to bring in more customers. It was a marketing masterclass—thank you to Pami for showing us how it’s done!

Nick Bock, CEO of 31st Street Capital

Alongside his discussion with Jason Goldberg, Nick Bock also took the stage for a session of his own on Day 2. This time, he showed dealers the 6 keys to scaling their flooring business—a framework that he and his team have developed over several years at 31st Street Capital.

With years of experience investing in flooring stores, it’s safe to say he gave attendees the true blueprint on how to be a better dealer! Nick was a surprise hit at FloorCon, and one of the most in-demand speakers over the course of the event.

And That’s Not Even Close To All

FloorCon was absolutely jam-packed with top-notch keynote speakers. Obviously, we just don’t have time to go through all of them—like we said, we’d be here all day!

The FloorCon Experience

FloorCon wasn’t all work and no play—in fact, there was a ton of fun to be had after hours! Here are some of the highlights of the FloorCon in-person experience. 

Open Bars and Happy Hours Livened Up the Event

Both days of FloorCon were capped off with an open bar—attendees kicked back, relaxed, and networked with the best in the business while overlooking the beautiful Sarasota waterfront. Talk about a lovely experience!

The End-of-Show Party Was a Hit

After all of the sessions were over, attendees were invited to the end-of-show party to wrap up the event. Dealers in attendance were treated to a first-class dinner, live music, giveaways, and our first-ever Dealer Awards show.
